Introducing our Wonderful Coaching
Staff

|
Lee Ann (Roberts)
Wilson
Technical Director and Head Coach
My greatest athletic achievement
was making the finals for the National Twirling
Competition at the St. Paul Winter Carnival, yes
I competed at the same venue that the 2005 World
Baton Twirling Championships were held.
|
|
In October 1977 while
just beginning my Grade 12 year, I started the Camaros
Baton Club. The club won the Novice Ontario Twirl
Corps Championships that year and I knew coaching
was for me.
I am a Level 3 coach, but I truly believe a well
rounded coach must not only rely on reading manuals
and writing tests, but also apply all the experience
and background of being a parent and former athlete.
Success comes from passion and focus on making every
willing athlete the best they can be. And of course
hiring the country’s best choreographers and having
great coaches on staff.
The Camaros have enjoyed many Grand National Group
titles, Group Challenge Cup Winners and of course
sending our first ever athlete to compete at the
World Championships in Rome, my daughter Kyla.
My secret for over 30 years of coaching, I keep
reminding myself I do have something to offer and
value every smile I get when in the gym. I truly
love working with all levels from Recreation to
the Elite level, they are all challenges that that
I thrive to achieve.

Today she serves as a coach for the Camaros Baton Club and has dabbled into some choreography work for the club.
